Travel Apps: Air bnb

Description: "Unlock the doors to inspiring and unique accommodations around the world with the Airbnb App!

Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world – online or from a mobile phone. Whether an apartment for a night, a castle for a week, or a villa for a month, Airbnb connects people to unique travel experiences, at any price point, anywhere on Earth. And with world-class customer service and a growing community of users, Airbnb is the easiest way for people to monetize their extra space and showcase it to an audience of millions." Google Play Store: Check out "Airbnb"

TheReal Deal: Once you sign up (free account) you'll have access to thousands of possibilities. You can browse through the people's (or hosts) homes (as funny as it sounds) and choose an apartment, room, even a couch that best suites you for your trip. At first you may be wary of staying at other people's home, but the price may be just worth it, and you may even start a new friendship.
You also have the option to lease to other people if you feel up for the challenge and need a second income.

Tip: Start out with hosts who are vastly reviewed.
May sure you always ask the renters anyone from price range, to accommodations. Even though a detailed description may be provided on the apartment/room it always helps to double check and not come into any surprises (specially with the price).

Conclusion: I have booked a private room in London with this young couple. The price per night was very reasonable specially given the timing of my trip (during the Summer Olympics). They have great reviews, and I hope to have a great experience with Airbnb.
I am currently trying to book another place in Barcelona so I will have two reviews after my Summer vacation.
